Batik @ Pulau Meranti

Last Thursday, my lecturer planned a trip to Pulau Meranti to visit Batik Shop where it also a place to see and introduced us about Malaysian Batik. Batik got use 2 methods to create the patterns on the cloth which are the application of wax with a canting, applying the wax to the fabric include pouring the liquid wax, painting the wax with a brush, and putting hot wax onto pre-carved wooden or copper block (called a cap or tjap) and stamping the fabric.Melted wax (Javanese: malam) is applied to cloth before being dipped in dye. It is common for people to use a mixture of beeswax and paraffin wax.

We paid 60 ringgit for the bus fee and also include the price of the canvas that we used to do batik on the canvas on that day. Quite fun and difficult to adapt the skill as well for newbies like me.

the logo is a surfman with 3 main colours white, yellow and blue.
light yellow is associated with intellectual, freshness and joy
to show that this blog will up to date with latest news that keep you fresh and joy

Light and dark blue meaning understanding represent knowledge, power and seriousness
which show that this blog is not just entertainment but also knowledge and powerful to rely on and understanding the customers

White represents a succesful beginning which is my wish to him and also is considered as colour of perfection.
